In collaboration with the ANMF’s eight (8) state and territory branches, we represent the professional, industrial and political interests of over 321,000 nurses, midwives & carers across the country.
We advocate for a broad range of professional issues. We analyse, develop and review policy, advocating for enhanced safety and quality of care.
We protect the safety and wellbeing of all nurses, midwives and carers. We advocate at an NT & at a national level to ensure safe, fair and reasonable working conditions.
We assist in the development of national policy. We provide politicians with education and analysis to support the development of effective public health and aged care policy, at an NT and National level.
As a registered organisation under the Fair Work Commission (Registered Organisations), the ANMF NT is governed by a defined set of rules.
The ANMF NT Branch is governed by NT Branch Executive/Council. The Branch Executive & Councillors are elected by members from across the NT, once every 2 years.
Elections are now completed. The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) have almost finalised the outcome. There is an issue they need to finalise and then the final report will be published. The new branch council / board will commence 30th November 2024. There term ceases on 29th November 2026.
The current branch council will cease on 29th November 2024.
