Funding grants for women in the health care sector
At the recent announcement of the National Industry Scholarship Grant Initiative that will support the development of women leaders in the health care sector, the hon. Julia Gillard praised the national initiative for its important role in enabling the advancement of women into higher levels of leadership. Following an overwhelming response from health care sector women to a preliminary release of scholarship funding in March this year, the initiative will now be rolled out nationally across 2015 and 2016. | More information

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) is proudly supporting the Luke Batty Foundation as a founding partner of the Never Alone campaign against domestic violence. ANMF Federal Secretary Lee Thomas joins with Australian of the Year Rosie Batty to pay tribute to the survivors of family violence and is asking nurses and midwives to help support the campaign at

Reporting obligations for notifying perinatal and related information are about to change

The Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) in conjunction with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), agreed to undertake an audit (pilot) of the nursing and midwifery professions.
